Remembering Jamie Beck

Issaquah High PTSA lost our friend Jamie Beck in December to cancer.
In addition to being a beloved mother, wife and friend, Jamie was a
selfless volunteer and served as VP of Programs two years ago and as a
committee member for the IH PTSA. Donations can be made to a
Memorial Fund at the American Cancer Society in her honor.
She will be missed!

Thank you, IHS College & Career Center!

Thank you to Karen Stevens from the College and Career Center who walked parents through the CCC website on Nov. 17.   Jen Schwarz from IHS Counseling also created this 11-minute overview of the CCC website .   You may always explore the CCC website on your own at https://sites.google.com/site/issaquahhsccc or contact Karen at stevensk@issaquah.wednet.edu .

Zoom Bombing

We sincerely apologize to the attendees at one of our Fall PTSA events for the Zoom bombing. We are taking this computer trespass very seriously and have consulted with school administrators and local law enforcement. As an immediate result, we are making the following changes:  instituting a Zoom waiting room, not allowing attendees to change their names, and not allowing attendees to unmute themselves (they will have to ask the host). We already do not allow screen sharing and annotation by attendees.  We will continue to discuss our security options internally.  As a PTSA, we want our areas to be safe places while making our events as accessible as possible.

The Issaquah High PTSA supports the positive, inclusive, and welcoming environment at Issaquah High School. We stand against racism, sexism and all other forms of bigotry and intolerance.
