What are the ACT and SAT? PSAT?

The ACT and SAT are standardized tests colleges and universities may use as part of their admissions process; administered by American College Testing (ACT) and College Board (SAT).  Issaquah High typically will host the real SAT during the spring of each year. Registration will be mentioned in the IHS Weekly Bulletin in January.

The PSAT is the Preliminary SAT (PSAT), an exam also known as the PSAT/NMSQT which stands for the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. The PSAT is administered by IHS each academic year in the fall (usually October) during the school day, to all 10th and 11th graders. It will be mentioned in the IHS Weekly Bulletin.
