The IH PTSA honors outstanding volunteers, educators, and advocates who make a difference in the lives of our students. Awards are given through nominations from our school community.

Golden Acorn Award 🌟

Recognizes individuals who have given exceptional volunteer service to children and youth in our school and PTSA community.

Outstanding Advocate Award 📣

Honors individuals who have shown dedicated advocacy for all children—helping to create strong policies that support health, safety, and education. Recipients may be parents, teachers, staff, or community members.

Outstanding Educator Award 🍎

Recognizes educators who go above and beyond to provide excellent learning opportunities. This award can honor teachers, specialists, support staff, administrators, or community members.

Honorary Life Membership Award 💙

Celebrates those who have made a lasting impact on the growth and sustainability of PTSA. (Note: This award does not include a free PTA membership—recipients still join annually like everyone else.)

Award recipients receive a commemorative pin, recognition on the PTSA awards plaque, acknowledgment at a district-wide reception, and a $50 donation to the WSPTA Scholarship Foundation in their name.

How to Nominate

Anyone in the IHS community may submit a nomination. Share who you would like to recognize and why. The PTSA Awards Committee will review all nominations.

Nominations typically open each spring.
