  • Picture Day Retake.  Need two volunteers to help.  7:45 AM to 12 noon on Oct. 10.  Sign up HERE!

Recurring Volunteer Opportunities 

  • Monthly Staff Appreciation Breakfasts:  

The IH PTSA provides monthly breakfasts for Wednesday morning Staff Meetings, as a show of appreciation. Looking for volunteers to sign-up, contributing breakfast items, dropped-off at IHS the Tuesday before monthly breakfasts.   • Angel Power Pack Distribution:

Power Packs are weekend food available for any Issaquah High student. They are distributed every Friday to any student that is in need of food. There is no sign-up - kids are invited to just swing by the Angel closet and pick up a bag of food to go. Open Positions (contact IHPTSAVolunteers@gmail.com)

  • Director of Advocacy: Reports to the IH PTSA Board, communicating our WA State and National PTSA legislative priorities, and other supported issues, along with identifying more ways for IH PTSA families get involved in best supporting student-centered Advocacy.
  • College Practice Test Coordinator: Advertise testing dates (already set). Send reminder emails. Finalize/send student lists to testing organizers. Work with Programs VPs for proctors/test sign-in.
  • College and Career Planning Committee/Co-Chair: Arrange 1-2 speakers per year. Flexibility to create new programming
  • Senior Scholarship Committee and/or Co-Chair: Establish criteria and rubric, solicit submissions, convene selection committee, award scholarships. Not available to parents of Seniors.
  • Golden Acorn/Outstanding Advocate/Outstanding Educator Awards co-chair.  Current chair has much experience and would like to train a new chair.
  • PE 5K Chair: Organizes snacks and indoor volunteers for the PE 5K final held January and June.
  • Healthy Student Committee:  Determine how we support our students to a healthier lifestyle.

Required ISD Online Volunteer Application Process

All IHS and ISD volunteers must complete online application process - PRIOR TO VOLUNTEERING, at least 48 hours before volunteer service. Register once for all ISD schools. Potential volunteers who have not completed the application are unable to volunteer. Click here to complete the 2019-20 ISD Volunteer Application.

Past Opportunities 

  • Salmon Day Parking with IM PTSA.  Two hour slots (8 AM to 4 PM) on October 5 and 6.  Sign-ups are on the Issaquah Middle PTSA site.  You have to create an account to sign up but you do not have to join the IM PTSA.  Sign-up HERE!
