College Planning Night – Oct. 16th

This night is open to ALL students and parents and is a great way to begin the college planning process. The night will begin at 6:15 p.m. with a General Session on College Applications presented by the IHS Counselors. At 7:10 p.m., parents and students will attend 2 sessions of your choice – topics include: College Essays, Building College Lists, Financing College, Applying to Selective Colleges.


IH PTSA Grants Deadline

The Issaquah High PTSA has a budget to fund selected projects and programs proposed by teachers, staff and/or parents to further our mission, "To expand educational opportunities and enhance the learning and social enrichment opportunities at Issaquah High School."  The fall deadline to apply for the grant applications is Friday, October 18, 2019.  You can find an application and the criteria for selecting a proposal by clicking the here: HERE


Practice Tests for SAT or ACT

Full length tests in realistic test environment.  Scores back session the following week.  Sign up different months to find out which test is best for you. Please note: These sample practice exams are different from the official PSAT  (Preliminary SAT) exam from College Board which is offered during the school day in mid October at IHS every year. 10th and 11th graders are expected to take the official PSAT exam on that date. This year’s school test date is Wednesday, 10/16/19.

  • November 23, 2019 - ACT or SAT - with essay option; results and feedback session with Huntington Learning Center on Nov. 26 @8 PM (November tests are the same as October.)      
  • February 29, 2020 - ACT or SAT with essay option; results and feedback session with Huntington Learning Center on Mar. 5 @ 8 PM

IHS New Family Ambassador Program:  Transitioning to a new area can be overwhelming! The New Family Ambassador Program is here to help! We match new families to an Ambassador who may help guide the way by answering questions, offering support. NFAP meets every third Tuesday of the month at Capri Cellars, on Front Street, starting at 6:00 PM (adults only).  Several other family socials run through the year, as well as educational tours and seminars, related to IHS.

 In order to help new families to the area, we need great volunteers! Time and commitment are minimal for Ambassadors, but the payoff in helping new families adjust is BIG!!! Please consider becoming an Ambassador, today! Questions, email Rebecca & Amber, CLICK HERE for more info.
