The "Hidden in Plain Sight" initiative helps parents spot signs of at-risk behaviors, using an interactive display of a teenager's bedroom. After walking through the display, participants will learn more about adolescent development and common signs of substance use provided by professionals in treatment, law enforcement, substance abuse prevention and other parents. Donate to Angel Program’s BAGS for the BREAK-EXTENDED DEADLINE
These bags are important to our Angel Families over the long school break, when students don’t have access to free lunch, looking for healthy ways to spend these days. School vacations can be a financial drain on struggling students & families. LIKE film documentary & discussionLIKE is a documentary about the impact of social media on our lives, and the effects of technology on the brain. March 25th - 28th. For parents and students in grades 6-12. FREE for PTSA Members in the Issaquah School District, $10 donation requested of non-members or guests.  Register HERE. 

Hidden in Plain Sight, April 2nd at Skyline High School - walk through an exhibit of a teen bedroom and learn what signs of substance use to look for, and what to do if you suspect something.  In partnership with Influence the Choice and many local community services, this includes an expert Q&A forum and a brief professional talk on communicating with youth about at-risk behavior.  This is a PARENT-ONLY event.

Congratulations Reflections Artists!

Four IHS students were recognized at State, and one National Award advancement! Congratulations to Isobel Grudin for Outstanding Interpretation, advancing to Nationals for “One in Thirteen Million,” Film Production.  Max Karpman earned Award of Excellence for “Our True Heroes,” Film Production.  Mary Chen earned Award of Excellence for “Underwater,” in the Visual Arts. Stela Szaboova earned an Award of Merit for “True Hero Shines in Bad Times,” Visual Arts. Congrats to ALL our artists, & best wishes to Isobel at June’s Reflections Nationals, in Columbus OH!

ACT or SAT Practice Tests 

IH PTSA will be holding the LAST 2018-2019 ACT or SAT Practice Test on Saturday, May 18th, 2019, at Issaquah High School, in conjunction with Huntington Learning Center.   Tests begin at 9:00 AM.  

ACT or SAT Practice testing is no longer a Kaplan combo test.  Sign up for either an ACT or SAT practice test, with essay & feedback from Huntington Learning Center - May 23, KCLS 2A/2B. Questions, contact Jamie Beck.
